The project "Fertility Building Management Measures in Organic Cropping Systems" - FertilCrop will address sustainable crop management techniques that will make efficient use of the interface to other plants, to the structured and stratified soil matrix, to beneficial microorganisms, and to the carbon and nitrogen cycle.

The project is funded by the CORE Organic Plus Funding Bodies, being partners of the FP7 ERA-Net project CORE Organic Plus (www.coreorganic.net).

At the meeting, which is cooridanted by Andreas Fliessbach of FiBL, the poject partners discussed the work to be done. Ulla Bertelsen of the International Centre for Research in Organic Food and Farming (ICROFS), coordinator of the CORE Organic Plus project gave an overview of this project and the technical and administrative requirements.
